Commodore 64 Videos

I play my own game to let you see how it works, how to not invest your money! Step into the fast-paced world of #1980s #stock #trading #stockmarket on your #commodore64 ! With £10,000 and just 52 weeks, can you survive market crashes, ride the privatisation boom and become the ultimate City Slicker?

#PETSCII charts you can review for past 26 week performance of any company. Random events all based on the 1980’s in the UK.

The City Never Stands Still!
As the weeks tick by, the market evolves around you. New companies, including iconic British names such as Acorn Computers, Sinclair, ICI, and many others, may make their appearance on the stock exchange, bringing fresh opportunities to grow your portfolio.

Will you back the emerging technology companies battling for dominance in the great 8-bit computer wars, or put your money into more established British businesses? Perhaps you’ll take advantage of the decade’s privatisation boom?

And don’t forget, holding on to your shares might bring an unexpected bonus, with surprise cash dividend payouts rewarding patient investors!

Buy, Sell and Build Your Fortune!
In this fun and engaging Commodore 64 stock market simulation, you’re in complete control of your investment decisions. Buy and sell shares in a changing stock market, deciding when to invest and when to cash in.

• Track share price movements using the 24-week historical performance of companies listed on the exchange.
• Monitor your investments with a profit and loss portfolio showing how well your trading strategy is performing.
• Discover new investment opportunities as additional companies enter the market throughout the game.
• Collect surprise dividends from shares you hold, giving your cash balance a welcome boost.
• Navigate market volatility, from privatisation excitement and technology battles to sudden crashes that could turn your fortunes upside down.

Released by Atlantis, Bonzai, Genesis Project, Lethargy, Offence, Pretzel Logic and Wrath Designs, this demo originally released on 30th October 2022 will make you feel very ready for the Halloween season in 2026. As a special nod to the demo, I have released this video on 25th October 2026 which is a nod to the 25th October “Slash with Ash” game reference towards the end of the vid, which is an actual playable game during the demo. Hats off for adding an actual game! (plug your joystick in port 2!).

This demo achieved number #1 spot – #c64 #demo at Zoo 2022.

Massive presentation, great animations and very atmospheric, have to call out the thriller soundtrack towards the end. The nod to Evil Dead II Ash in the VHS part is great!

My sad attempt at “Slash with Ash” game at the end – Thanks for putting a game in the demo :)

Happy Halloween to all C64 fans.

A cute little platformer game, on the Commodore 64. The graphics are great, It’s also a plus that you have unlimited retries to test different theories and strategies. The music is great and the “just one more go….” vibe is very high!.

Game purchased from K&A Plus via the webiste https://ka-plus.pl/en/store/Gravity-Duck-64-Box-Only-pick-storage-options-p829150136

Added bonus was the digital download of the cartridge and disk version of the game, when I purchased the cassette version for the C64. The added bonus in the collectors box of the game is the glossy brochure and the stickers – great for any collector. See my post on Facebook / thatc64guy or X https://x.com/thatc64guy for the quality of the extras!

Little Computer People – C64. Disk version (after a couple of failed attempts at loading my cassette version). My first upload with commentary, I read through the instructions and also some of the keyboard controls that interact with Ralph (sorry – Jay….) in the game.

One of my favourite games from 1986 by Mastertronic, Super Pipeline 2 on the C64 Ultimate. In this game you help Fred and Will to keep the pipeline open, and Fred in a job, against the frenzied efforts of a demented toolkit and ravenous scorpion’s. Unfortunately I only made to pipe 4.
